Mashhad Customs is the second published destination on this corridor, after Tehran West. The truck still exits China at Wuqia or Khorgos under a TIR seal and enters Iran at Sarakhs. From Wuqia a direct truck currently runs 18–21 days to the Mashhad bonded warehouse — counted from the crossing — because it does not continue west to Tehran. Hub-to-customs. The consignee’s broker in Mashhad takes the Ghabz-e Anbar; we do not deliver to the bazaar.

Why Mashhad is shorter than Tehran

Tehran West is 21–23 days on a direct truck from Wuqia because the last road leg runs across to the capital. Mashhad sits near the Sarakhs entry. The international legs are the same until Iran; the saving is inside Iran, not a different Central Asian routing. The 0.4% Kyrgyzstan transit tax still applies on the Wuqia line. Khorgos to Mashhad is quoted on request and never carries the 0.4%.

Origin hub → export clearance and sealing at Wuqia (TIR lock + electronic seal) → Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan under a single TIR carnet → entry into Iran at Sarakhs → the destination customs bonded warehouse, where a warehouse entry receipt (Ghabz-e Anbar) is issued to your broker. A direct truck transloads once, at Bukhara; a transshipment truck transloads at Osh and again at Bukhara, which costs less and takes longer. A TIR carnet keeps unsealings and transloads to a minimum — it does not remove them, and it changes neither the transit time nor the rate. On this line Kyrgyzstan levies 0.4% of the cargo-invoice value as a transit tax: a tax, not freight, excluded from the quotation and paid by the customer. The Khorgos line runs through Kazakhstan instead, never carries the 0.4%, and its transit time is quoted on request. Turgart and Alashankou are not operated.

What happens after Sarakhs

The trailer is not opened at Sarakhs for a routine TIR movement. It runs to the Mashhad customs bonded warehouse. The warehouse issues the Ghabz-e Anbar to the Mashhad broker you name on the booking. After that, ASYCUDA, duty and local cartage are the broker’s file — same split as Tehran, different office. If your buyer is in Mashhad or the east, stopping here avoids a Tehran warehouse entry and a domestic truck back east.

No published rates. To get a quote, send three things: the origin hub; the destination customs (Tehran West Customs / Aprin / Mashhad); and the cargo data — HS code, gross weight in kg, volume in CBM.

FAQ

How long to Mashhad from Wuqia?

Counted from the Wuqia crossing: a direct truck currently 18 to 21 calendar days to the Mashhad Customs bonded warehouse; a transshipment truck 24 to 28 days. The domestic China leg to Wuqia is typically within 7 days and is counted separately. Not a guaranteed transit.

Do you deliver door-to-door?

No. Delivery is to the destination customs bonded warehouse; the consignee's licensed broker clears the goods and arranges local delivery.

Can I LCL to Mashhad on the Tuesday Tehran truck?

No. Tehran consolidation is for Tehran West / Aprin. Mashhad cargo goes on a Mashhad booking. Mixing it onto a Tehran trailer means your broker collects in Tehran and trucks east — extra cost and time, not a shortcut.

Is Lotfabad an entry for Mashhad cargo?

Published Iran entry on this line is Sarakhs. Lotfabad is named on some buyer contracts; if your broker insists on it, say so in the enquiry before we seal. It is not the default.

What is the minimum for LCL?

One cubic metre (CBM) or 100 kg, at the Yiwu and Shenzhen (Pinghu) facilities, on the weekly Tuesday and Friday consolidation to Tehran Customs. Mashhad and Aprin consolidations are quoted per sailing.
