How tracking works on a China–Iran TIR truck
There is no public tracking page and no ocean B/L number. A TIR truck is followed by operational milestones: loaded at the hub, sealed at Wuqia or Khorgos, transloaded at Bukhara (and Osh on a transshipment truck), entered at Sarakhs, warehoused at Tehran West Customs with a Ghabz-e Anbar. Those updates go to the consignee and the shipper on WhatsApp or email. Hub-to-customs, currently 21–23 days from the Wuqia crossing on a direct truck.

What you are actually tracking
The unit is a TIR-sealed curtainsider, not a container with a public carrier site. We do not give a live map to every consignee. Position of the tractor is used to run the line — Tuesday and Friday departures, one transload at Bukhara on a direct truck — not to refresh a webpage. If a transit office holds the carnet, the delay shows up as a missed milestone, not as a pin on a map.
Origin hub → export clearance and sealing at Wuqia (TIR lock + electronic seal) → Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan under a single TIR carnet → entry into Iran at Sarakhs → the Tehran West Customs bonded warehouse, where a warehouse entry receipt (Ghabz-e Anbar) is issued to your broker. A direct truck transloads once, at Bukhara; a transshipment truck transloads at Osh and again at Bukhara, which costs less and takes longer. A TIR carnet keeps unsealings and transloads to a minimum — it does not remove them, and it changes neither the transit time nor the rate. On this line Kyrgyzstan levies 0.4% of the cargo-invoice value as a transit tax: a tax, not freight, excluded from the quotation and paid by the customer. The Khorgos line runs through Kazakhstan instead, never carries the 0.4%, and its transit time is quoted on request. Turgart and Alashankou are not operated.
The milestones we send
1) Cargo received and loaded at Yiwu, Shenzhen or Guangzhou. 2) Export sealed at Wuqia or Khorgos — this is day zero of the 21–23 day count on the Wuqia line. 3) Transload at Bukhara (plus Osh on transshipment). 4) Iran entry at Sarakhs. 5) Unload into the Tehran West Customs bonded warehouse and issue of the Ghabz-e Anbar to your broker. After that, ASYCUDA, duty and local trucking are the broker’s file. We do not call the warehouse daily on your behalf.
No published rates. To get a quote, send three things: the origin hub; the destination customs (Tehran West Customs / Aprin / Mashhad); and the cargo data — HS code, gross weight in kg, volume in CBM.
FAQ
How long does it take from the Wuqia crossing to Tehran Customs?
Counted from the Wuqia border crossing: a direct truck currently takes 21 to 23 calendar days to the Tehran West Customs bonded warehouse and a transshipment truck 26 to 30 days; to Mashhad it is 18 to 21 days direct and 24 to 28 days with transshipment. A direct truck transloads once, at Bukhara; a transshipment truck transloads at Osh and again at Bukhara. The domestic leg from the Yiwu or Shenzhen warehouse to Wuqia is typically within 7 days and is counted separately. Transit time on the Khorgos line is quoted on request. These are current operating ranges, not a guaranteed transit.
Can I have a GPS link?
Not as a customer product. The tractor’s tracker is for dispatch. Sharing a live link with every LCL consignee on the same trailer is not done — the seal is one, the cargo is many. Ask for the last milestone instead.
What if a milestone is late?
Border queues, carnet checks and weather move the range. A missed Bukhara or Sarakhs date is raised the same day on the same WhatsApp thread as the booking. It is not a lost truck until dispatch says so.
Do you deliver door-to-door?
No. Delivery is to the Tehran West Customs bonded warehouse; the consignee's licensed broker clears the goods and arranges local delivery.
